Bo Ljung
Bo Ljung’s artistic process includes a multitude of cultural references that are often sampled in collage form before the painting begins. One of his most important sources of inspiration is the Flemish ”World landscapes” from the sixteenth century, which gives visual form to the vast and infinite and still unexplored world, terra incognita. Bo Ljung is represented in many public and private collections in Sweden and also in the Swedish Embassy in Lisbon in Portugal and Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“For me, art is a reflection of the world in which we live. A work of art is the engagement of the specific space and the experience. I have found that walking is the best way to interact with space and facilitate extraordinary experiences for the audience. So, my art practice employs walking as a device to create art. In my work, walking serves as a tool for connecting the mind, spirit, and body, enabling me to remain present.”
