2025 Stockholm Open Weiqi Tournament, organized by Stockholm Go Club, will be held at China Cultural Center in Stockholm on August 30-31. This marks the event’s return to China Cultural Center in Stockholm after being successfully hosted there last year. Weiqi, a cornerstone of traditional Chinese culture, has also captured the hearts of many in Sweden. Stockholm Go club invites everyone to participate in the Stockholm Open Weiqi Tournament. It’s an open tournament which means anyone can participate.
Date: August 30 – 31, 2025
Venue:
The tournament will be held at the China Cultural Center in Stockholm.
Rules:
The tournament will be a 5 round MacMahon tournament, with Chinese rules.
Each player will have 60 minutes main time and 3×30 seconds byoyomi.
Komi is set at 7.5.
The tournament will be reported as an EGF A-tournament.
