On September 15, a clear and crisp autumn day, “EYE&EYE” Ceramic Glaze Painting Exhibition had a spectacular grand opening at China Cultural Center in Stockholm, joined by more than a hundred Swedish artists and art lovers. Through the distinctly different styles of ceramic glaze paintings of Chinese artist PuMu and Swedish artist Torsten “Toto” Jurell, the exhibition explores a multi-dimensional dialogue of vision, perception, and cultural exchange.

This exhibition features over fifty works, each showcasing the exquisite techniques of ceramic art and the artists’ unique creative concepts. The layout of the exhibition is also ingeniously designed, with Chinese and Western works deliberately interwoven in display, inviting viewers to compare artistic expressions from different cultural perspectives.

“EYE&EYE” Chinese-Swedish Ceramic Glaze Painting Exhibition is not only a visual feast but also a profound dialogue between Chinese and Western cultures. Through the eyes that gaze back at us, we are prompted to reflect on how we view the world and how we are viewed by it.
