The 9th European Grand Prix Finale 2025, organized by the European Go Federation (EGF), will take place at the China Cultural Center in Stockholm from January 8th to 11th, 2026. The Finale represents the culmination of the 2025 European Grand Prix Circuit, bringing together the top 16 qualified players from across Europe. Weiqi, as a cornerstone of traditional Chinese culture, continues to enjoy strong popularity and a growing audience across Europe.

Parallel Event: The Jusandan Open Tournament

In addition to the European Grand Prix Finale, a parallel open tournament — the Jusandan Open Tournament — will be held concurrently during the same period at the same venue. It will be held from January 10th to 11th.The Jusandan Open Tournament is an open competition, open to players of all levels. Players who are eliminated from the European Grand Prix Finale may also choose to enter the Jusandan Open Tournament, further enhancing the overall competitive strength of the event.

Please note: The European Grand Prix Finale and the Jusandan Open Tournament are two separate tournaments. The two events are held in parallel, at the same time and venue. Top-board games will be broadcast live on the OGS platform. Live commentary will be provided on Twitch by high-ranking European players.

This Weiqi competition is not only a showcase of the highest competitive level of Weiqi in Europe throughout the year, but also an important platform for China–Europe cultural exchange.Weiqi enthusiasts and friends interested in Chinese culture are warmly invited to follow the event and watch the games.
