On January 20th, Dai Weihong, Deputy Director of  China Cultural Center in Stockholm, and her delegation visited Rolfs Travel Agency, a Swedish tourism company, and held a discussion and exchange with CEO Emanuel Karlsson and others on Chinese-Swedish tourism cooperation. Huang Yanjun, Consul of the Consulate General in Gothenburg, Attendant Cheng Guanjie, and staff from China Cultural Center in Stockholm attended the symposium.

Carlson detailed the company’s overall situation and development plan, stating that China’s unilateral visa-free policy for Sweden has created great potential for Swedish tourism to China. In particular, with the continuous development of digital means, both sides can further rely on diversified public communication platforms to improve the awareness and influence of Chinese tourism products in the Swedish tourism market through joint promotion and precise marketing, allowing European tourists to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China’s tourism resources and product characteristics. They expressed great interest and attention to China’s winter ice and snow tourism products, intangible cultural heritage experience products, and China’s new technologies.

Dai Weihong, Deputy Director of China Cultural Center in Stockholm, stated that in recent years, China has continuously optimized the tourism environment for foreign tourists through a series of pragmatic measures such as continuously promoting visa facilitation, payment facilitation, and service facilitation, significantly enhancing the overall attractiveness and convenience of inbound tourism to China. In November 2025, China officially implemented a visa-free policy for Swedish citizens, providing favorable conditions for Swedish people to travel to China for tourism, business, and cultural exchanges.

This symposium was practical and the exchanges were in-depth, enhancing mutual understanding and trust between China and Sweden in the field of tourism.
