“Nihao! China” Horse Lantern Show
Every year during the Spring Festival, a non-heritage lantern exhibition from China illuminates and warms the cold nights of Stockholm. This year, galloping horses carrying auspicious light will officially kick off the series of Spring Festival celebrations! Symbolizing success and leaps forward, these majestic horses will create a dreamlike festive atmosphere in Kungsträdgården with their radiant glow. The exhibition will run from February 2 to February 28.
“Nihao! China” Horse Lantern Lighting Ceremony
In Chinese traditional culture, the horse symbolizes success and leap forward, while in Swedish culture, it is also regarded as an auspicious totem. At 16:30 on February 1, 2026, let us gather at Stockholm’s Kungsträdgården. Accompanied by dragon and lion dances, music, and blessings, we will witness the spectacular moment when the Year of the Horse Lantern Exhibition illuminates the square, praying for happiness and welcoming the arrival of the Chinese New Year.

Reflections of Poems Art Exhibition

Where Poetry Meets Art: A Profound Dialogue Between Chinese and Swedish expressions, this exhibition dwells into the resonant interplay between poetry and painting, showcasing illustrations specially created by Chinese artist duo LAM&Cherry in response to the renowned Swedish poet Bengt Berg’s poems. The exhibition unfolds along the narrative thread of Bengt Berg’s poetry and the artistic depth of Lam&Cherry. You are warmly invited to the exhibition hall of China Cultural Center in Stockholm to immerse yourself in the dialogue between poetic verses and ink artistry. Bengt Berg has published over 40 poetry collections, participated in numerous poetry festivals worldwide, and his works have been translated into many languages such as Chinese, English, and Spanish.

On February 5th at 17:00, poetry and art enthusiasts are warmly invited to join Swedish poet Bengt Berg, Chinese artist duo Lam&Cherry, and other special guests at China Cultural Center in Stockholm. On February 7th at 13:00, the artist duo Lam&Cherry lead the audience into the Chinese world through Chinese characters. Through each person’s writing, a poetic and everyday contemporary ink art is formed.

“China’s Stories” – An Introduction to Chinese Classical Dance
On February 9th at 17:00, senior dance artist and choreographer Zhou Wencai from the China National Coal Mine Art Troupe will guide you through the techniques and cultural essence of Chinese classical and ethnic dance, exploring the millennia-old charm and emotional expression embodied in “hand movements, eye expressions, body postures, techniques, and steps.” The artists will also share behind-the-scenes creative stories and engage in interactive exchanges with the audience. This is a rare opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the unique aesthetics of Chinese dance, as well as a professional preview ahead of the China National Coal Mine Art Troupe’s performances in Sweden.

Mr. Zhou Wencai is a senior choreographer at the China National Coal Mine Art Troupe. He has contributed to the choreography of numerous major performances and large-scale events, while also independently creating a series of distinctive personal dance works. With profound artistic expertise and extensive creative experience, he has established a remarkable reputation in the field of dance choreography.

Snow Rhyme In The East – China’s Icy Realm Photo Exhibition

This exhibition employs photography as a medium to systematically present the unique ice and snow landscapes, lifestyles, and winter tourism resources of northeastern China. Through four sections—City of Ice and Snow, Winter Celebrations, Speed on Snow, and Circle of Life—it explores how ice and snow shape urban forms, cultivate lifestyles, invigorate winter sports, and sustain ecosystems in extreme cold. This is more than just an exhibition; it is a journey through ice and snow that can be seen, experienced, and remembered. Selected stunning winter scenes will also be dynamically displayed on high-definition large screens at Arlanda Airport.

You will find yourself at the heart of the spectacular and perilous ancient Shu Road, adn feel the grandeur and peril of the ancient Shu Road, hear the clash of swords echo across the Three Kingdoms battlefields, and witness the unyielding spirit of heroes. Jianmen Pass awaits you to uncover its millennium-old legend.
