Time flows, dance steps glide. Each dance reveals a world, each step marks a season. Presented by the China Coal Mine Art Troupe, a national-level performing arts group from China, the meticulously crafted “Rhythm of the East” Chinese Classical Dance Special Performance will be brilliantly staged in Stockholm 10th February. This will be a visual feast that embodies the cultural heritage of millennia, a dialogue between Eastern rhythms and the Nordic winter. On February 9th, at 5 PM, China Cultural Center in Stockholm and China Coal Mine Art Troupe invite you to join the chinese dance sharing session at China Cultural Center in Stockholm. Directors and artists from the troupe will unveil the creative insights behind the performance and showcase the professional techniques of classical dance, offering a sneak peek into the beauty of dance rhythms.
Guest Speakers
Jin Dong
Jin Dong is the Head of the China Coal Mine Art Troupe, a National First-Class Actor, and Vice President of the China Musical Association. He has been honored with numerous awards, including the Golden Lion Award for Chinese Theater, the Leading Role Award at the Shanghai Magnolia Stage Performance Awards, the Best Actor Award at the Shanghai Television Festival Magnolia Awards, and the Wenhua Performance Award. His representative works include the theater productions The Taste of Warmth and Sunrise, the musical Dream Awakened from a Dream, as well as television series such as The Disguiser, The First Half of My Life, The Bottom Line, Welcome to Mile Village, and Years in the Northwest.
Zhou Wencai
Mr. Zhou Wencai is a young choreographer at the China Coal Mine Art Troupe. Representative works include stage productions such as Longing for Chang’an, Green-Glazed Pottery Male Figurine, Peace and Prosperity, Sun Simiao, and The Book of Songs: King Gesar, among others. His creative works have received multiple national awards, including the Classical Dance Finalist Award at the 13th and 14th China Dance Lotus Awards, as well as the Best Folk Dance Award at the 2024 Choreography Forum of the Artists Forum in the United States.
