On the Spring Equinox of 2026, the world will jointly celebrate the first International Tai Chi Day. This is a historic moment bestowed by UNESCO upon this Eastern wisdom of body and mind, and a perfect opportunity for us to connect through martial arts and cultivate the spirit through culture. During the Spring Equinox, when yin and yang give rise to one another, China Cultural Center in Stockholm is pleased to present a special series of events for International Tai Chi Day, inviting you to listen, learn, and experience the philosophy and cultural depth of martial arts.

Event Highlights
Lecture: The Charm of Chinese Martial Arts
Speaker: Wu Dong (PhD Supervisor at Beijing Sport University), a practitioner of martial arts since childhood, he has delved deep into martial studies for over five decades and mastered dozens of boxing styles. He is a former International Tai Chi Champion. His footprints have spanned over 30 countries globally, using his unique “Three-Body Teaching Method” to help people truly understand Tai Chi. In this lecture, he will guide you to explore the Eastern wisdom of life behind martial arts, starting from the philosophy of the balance between Yin and Yang.
Performance Showcase: Chinese Martial Arts
Theory must be followed by practice. A spectacular martial arts performance will present the beauty of the martial way between movement and stillness, allowing you to feel the profound meaning of “Martial arts moves the emotion, culture enters the heart” through visual.
