Following the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra’s New Oriental Chinese Music Scene concert in Stockholm on September 5, the musicians will meet audiences at China Cultural Center in Stockholm on the afternoon of September 6. Through live performances, musical insights, and interactive sessions, they will offer an immersive introduction to traditional Chinese music and its artistic beauty.
Chinese Folk Music
Artists from the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra will perform a selection of classic Chinese folk music, accompanied by introductions to the instruments, offering audiences an opportunity to discover their unique beauty while enjoying the music.
Moonlit Poetry
Members of Kinesisk Bro Klubb i Stockholm will present classic Mid-Autumn poems. As poetry meets music, centuries-old verses come alive in Stockholm. Bilingual Chinese-Swedish and multilingual recitations will add a unique touch to this cultural celebration creating moments of connection through poetry and shared traditions.
The Taste of China & Instrument Experience
After the poetry gathering, continue the afternoon with a relaxed music workshop. Enjoy Chinese tea and traditional refreshments, explore traditional Chinese musical instruments up close, and meet musicians from the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra. Through hands-on interaction and informal conversations, discover the beauty and artistry of Chinese traditional music.
