Meet the Yongle Palace Murals Across 800 Years

THE IMMORTALS CHRONICLE YONGLE PALACE MURAL ART EXHIBITION is the first official overseas exhibition in Sweden focused on Yongle Palace.

Centered on the renowned Chaoyuan Tu murals at Yongle Palace, the exhibition features five themes: Mural Art Reproduction, Exploration of Mural Colors, Digital Restoration, Reproduction of Mural Attire, and Display of Cultural Creative Products, showcasing the unique artistic appeal of Yongle Palace murals.

The exhibition features a half-scale replica of the Chaoyuan Tu officially created by the Yongle Palace Mural Research Institute, using mineral pigments to recreate the artistic appearance of the ancient mural.

Depicting the magnificent scene of more than one hundred deities in Taoism worshipping the Yuanshi Heavenly Spirit (Yuan Shi Tian Zun), the Chaoyuan Tu is a remarkable representation of ancient Chinese mural art.

Visitors can also explore Digital Restoration, where AI supercomputing power is used to restore the original appearance of the Chaoyuan Tu, demonstrating how technology can help protect and preserve cultural heritage.
