Beijing: More Than Meets the Eye – The Historic Longfu Temple

The new series of videos Beijing: More Than Meets the Eye combine Beijing’s well-known tourist attractions and emerging cultural landmarks with young artists, musicians and performers. Together these combine to put Beijing tourism in a whole new light. The first in the series features a musician from Beijing’s Central Conservatory of Music and an Olympic medal-winning rhythmic gymnast performing at Beijing’s historic and newly renovated Longfu Temple.

The second in the series features Wtown (Simatai Great Wall) and the Forbidden City String Quartet performing at foot of the Great Wall in the amazing Gubei Water Town.

As the host city of the Winter Olympic Games, Beijing-Zhangjiakou is bringing a new Winter Olympic experience to the world. Combined with the concept of the Winter Olympics, the series shares Beijing’s rich winter tour resources, breaks the stereotype of northern winter tourism, and vividly shows Beijing’s ice and snow sports, cultural landscape, special food, cultural performances and exhibitions, as well as lively folk scenes during the Spring Festival.
