Organized by China Cultural Center in Stockholm, the Chinese-Swedish joint exhibition “Presence – five voices, an echo of belonging” opened on May 6. H.E. Tucapel Jiménez Fuentes, Chilean Ambassador to Sweden, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, joined by over a hundred distinguished figures from Sweden’s cultural and artistic communities.

Chilean Ambassador to Sweden expressed deep honor at being invited to the exhibition opening ceremony, highly commended the artistic achievements of the featured creators, and particularly acknowledged China Cultural Center in Stockholm for building bridges of cross-cultural dialogue.

Curated by artist Ricardo Donoso, the exhibition brings together works by four Chilean-origin artists living and working in Sweden and Chinese contemporary artist Li Xinmo.

Symbolizing trilateral cultural exchange—Sweden being the first Western nation to establish diplomatic ties with China (75th anniversary) and Chile the first South American country to do so (55th anniversary)—the exhibiotion presents a dual tribute to these milestones. When Eastern aesthetics intertwine with South American totemic visions on a third nation’s soil, artistic exchange and emotional resonance compose a harmonious symphony.

The exhibition will last till May 24.
