Chinese Bridge held at CCC in Stockholm

Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin attended the event and delivered remarks. In his speech, Ambassador Cui said, Chinese President Xi Jinping noted that language is a tool for human beings to exchange thoughts, a carrier for inheriting civilization, and a bridge for enhancing understanding. Chinese is not merely a language, but also a way of thinking and a cultural perspective. Learning Chinese, he stressed, will help broaden international horizons, enhance cross-cultural communication skills, deepen mutual understanding between Chinese and Swedish youth, and enable them to seize opportunities presented by China’s development. As this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Sweden, Ambassador Cui expressed hope that the students would become envoys for deepening China-Sweden exchanges and cooperation, as well as bridges fostering mutual understanding and affinity between the peoples of both nations.

After intense competition, Noah and Safia from Dalarna University, Siri from Kungsholmen High School and Sanna from Södra Latin High School won the first prize in the university and secondary school group, respectively.
