As an ancient species on Earth, the giant panda is regarded as a “living fossil” of biological evolution. It’s gentle and endearing image transcends national borders, ethnicities, and generations, making it not only beloved by the public but also a distinctive symbol of Chinese culture. On May 31, during the Dragon Boat Festival season, “Pandas Are Here – 2025 Colorful Panda Journey in Sweden” arrived at its first stop: Stockholm Kungsträdgården. At the event site, a “Hello” Panda Message Mailbox will be set up, allowing visitors to write blessings for their favorite pandas, stamp them with a special event postmark, and receive commemorative souvenirs like panda-themed badges. Participants can also collect exclusive customized stamps through Stamp Collection Postcard, documenting every encounter with the panda family. “My Panda” Creative Experience interactive session invited panda-loving attendees to create their own panda artworks, which they could take home as keepsakes. Additionally, interactive activities such as a collaborative painted scroll and live art demonstrations by Swedish artist inspired by the game: Mists of Pandaria will be featured. Everyone is welcomed to join in the festivities!

On June 3,  “Colorful Panda Art Global Exhibition Tour (China)” will officially open at China Cultural Center in Stockholm. Co-hosted by China Cultural Center in Stockholm, China National Arts Fund, Network of International Culturalink Entities, Sichuan Cultural Center, and the “GOGOPANDA” brand, the exhibition encompasses five main sections: panda painting co-creation, art exhibition, science popularization exhibition, interactive activities, and a cultural and creative product exhibition.

Painted Panda Artistic Co-creation

With its gentle and serene demeanor, the panda becomes a vessel of shared memories, navigating between the minimalist yet profound Nordic cultures. Just as this painted panda symbolizes—a city is the most tender gift humanity gives itself—the artwork bridges cultural boundaries through soft aesthetics and universal resonance.
